East Tampa is one of the communities in Hillsborough County. This region of Tampa is densely populated with African American residents. This community has a lot of historical significance in Tampa. East Tampa is located at a distance of 4 miles form Downtown Tampa. College Hill, Jackson heights and Belmont Heights are the three districts that make East Tampa.
East Tampa is a busy area which is bustling with activities throughout the year. Visit the R.E. Olds Park, Tower Lake and St. Pete Beach Community Center Complex with your family and you will enjoy the experience. At the Tower Lake you will be able to see ski performances by the Tampa Water Bay Ski Group. This group practices as well as performs for the visitors free of cost. At the Community Center you will find a playground, a skate park and Aquatic Center.
Once you have finished visiting the places, you can shop at the Aeropostale, Celebration Cakes and Grand Central. Java & Cream is a famous ice cream parlor. Visit the place for yummy ice cream treat or Haagen-Dazs Shop and Marble Slab Creamery for delicious lunch.
Different types of events are organized in the city during Christmas. Buckler's Craft Fair is a famous event that takes place from 28 to 29th November in State Fairgrounds. Pianos event takes place in Ybor on 14th of November which is basically an interactive arts exhibition for the people. The Brandon Christmas Parade and Victorian Christmas Stroll are famous events during the year end in East Tampa.
