Located in the downtown of Tampa area Florida, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is among the largest performing arts centers south of the Kennedy Center. The center was opened in 1987 and has hosted many world class events. It has a staggering square foot size of 290,000 and poses a very beautiful view while inside. Furthermore, the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Complex has about 20 studios, 2 of this audios are dance studios with special sprung floors. It also has a sound lightning laboratory, rehearsal hall, costume shop where many performing costumes are available for sale and a theater workshop. Currently, in 2007, the Arts Center was attended by more than 6500 patrons and had over 1000 performances. It's currently managed by the city of Tampa.
