Tampa city has miles and miles of beautiful public beaches frequented by thousands each week. These beaches are ideal for long strolls, spending a day in the sun with the sand and the surf. Tampa Bay has close to ten different beaches that one can go to and enjoy fun activities such as snorkeling, daylong picnics, trails and fishing.

Some of these beaches are designated as State parks since there are a few endangered species that can be found here. Some of these Tampa beaches you can visit while you are in Tampa Bay are Caladesi Island Park, Sand key beach, Fort De Soto Beach, Greer Beach, Caspersen Beach and Blind pass beach.

While some of these beaches are crowded due to a lot of people coming in there are some which you can go to by boat and enjoy a tranquil time with your loved one or family. Caladesi Beach is located on an island in Tampa Bay and is accessible by a ferry service. This beach has been voted the most beautiful beach and has a lot of amenities for people coming with families. You have boating, restaurants, hiking and nature trails, designated picnic areas, swimming and kayaking.

Sand key beach is also a state park and a wonderful beach in the vicinity of Tampa Bay. This beach sees close to a million visitors each year and growing. If you wish to spend an entire day at the beach you can rent out cabana or umbrellas to shelter you from the sun. This beach also has an active conservation program for sea turtles run by the Clearwater Aquarium.
