The sanctuary has about 140 wild cats' of about 16 species which include lions, tigers, leopards, caracals and bobcats among others. It is pretty easy getting to the Big Cat Rescue sanctuary if you are a visitor alighting at the Tampa International Airport since it's only about 10 minutes and you are there.

By visiting the area, you get a chance to see the animals do various activities such as eating and swimming. Photos are allowed that you can take back home for people to see. The sanctuary allows only guided tours including tours for kids during the week days which are between 9.00am and 3.00pm and 9.00am for Saturdays.
